The Lonely Hearts Club

The Lonely Hearts Club - Elizabeth Eulberg This was a really cute, really fast read.Penny and her friends were a little naive, but I loved the idea of this club. Penny wasn't a pushover, but she also wasn't going to refuse to change. She and the club had a good balance. They were open to change, but not to people who would be totally negative all the time.At times, the girls were a bit annoying, but for the most part, I liked the message that went with this book. It was all about girl power and not getting pushed around and I think that's something teenage girls, any girls really, need to be reminded of from time to time.I also loved the Beatles theme. It was a fun little addition. I wasn't named after any Beatles songs, but my mom loves them and has all the CDs and some posters. This is just a fun, quick, light read that you should pick up when you need some girl power. Adorable!
